2nd day

Hello people!

You probably thought I’ve given up. And I have to admit: I almost did!

Yesterday it was horrible! Not at lunch: I have to say I was pretty good at resisting all those delicious dishes and having only the healthy ones. And not having dessert at all! I was proud of myself that I was showing off my determination skills to my family members.

But after resisting lots of delicious food and coke, I came back home around 5PM with a terrible headache. It was so persistent that not even 40 drops of dipyrone were enough. Then I realized: I was addicted to trash food and it was going to be hard to get rid of it so radically, especially sugar! That’s how I decided that I needed some coke, and some chocolate, then I drank maybe 200ml of coke and ate around 30g of M&M’s which was not much considering it was my first day on rehab.

But I’ve sinned, and you know it’s just like Elma Chips slogan… So at the end of the day, just before going to sleep, I decided I was going to fry (yes you read it right: FRY!) some codfish balls! I took them out of the freezer direct into the boiling oil and ate 10 of them.

After doing that, of course, I was determined to close the blog and forget this entire story to avoid the public humiliation. But it's always a good advice to sleep over a subject. I woke up today and decided I was going to keep it up: I was going to confess my sins to you and persevere!

Today I ate let's say 99% of healthy food. 1% is because I permitted myself a treat: two lemon Bis at night. And that was all!

The odyssey continues! Wish me strength!

What a crazy idea!

Hi everyone.

It's New Year's day and I decided to embrace this experience of spending 365 days eating and drinking only what is healthy. It's going to be tough, I know. But I believe it's doable. We all know what is healthy but this awareness does not make things easier. How to resist coke on the summer, for example? Or Mc Donald’s on a rush day?

Right now I've just finished preparing a Brazilian dessert with layered cookies inside and condensed milk, which I'm taking to my sister's house for the family lunch and I won't eat it! As I write this my daughter opens a panettone filled with chocolate and takes a slice. The smell wakes my stomach!

I know there will be exceptions, and I’ll establish some rules here. Because I know it's healthier to eat a piece of chocolate when I'm close to my period than to let the hormones transform me into a monster ready to kill if I'm under chocolate deprivation. But the rules will be clear and I'll stick to them.

Just to start, I'll tell you my today's breakfast.

A glass of water (yes! water is healthy and we all know that) and an hour later a shake made with nonfat milk, banana and oat. And a bit of honey to sugar it.

I'll come back later and tell you how was my experience during family lunch and I hope I have your support for the weak days.

I'll also tell you my height, weight and I'll make a blood exam to compare the results at the end of the year.

Wish me luck!
